A handful of schools in Hampshire recently introduced our classes and following their success, experienced by teachers, pupils and parents alike, we would like to spread the word so more children can enjoy them too.
In the news recently, children’s mental health is becoming an increasingly prevalent issue which needs to be addressed. Not only do better services to help children with existing issues need to be put in place but we believe a proactive approach to taking care of mental health is absolutely essential. The earlier in life we have these skills instilled within us to cope with stress, anxiety and often chaotic everyday life, the better society will be at managing their mental health and wellbeing.
The benefits of yoga and mindful meditation has brought joy to so many and only recently have the positive effects been recognised for school-aged children; improving behaviour, concentration and even grades.
Yoga and relaxation is a powerful tool for school age children in a generation where screen time is rife and boredom is nearly always replaced with digital entertainment. Giving children the tools they need to be present, self aware and happy in the moment without a screen, is becoming even more essential for our children’s future. This is especially important in the classroom where attention spans are increasingly wavering.

In all my roles in childcare, ranging from nursery nurse and nanny to a family support officer, I have consistently seen first-hand the positive effects of relaxation techniques and mindfulness in nurturing people’s ability to manage their emotions and focus their attention. The power this can have in helping to overcome even the most difficult of evmotional challenges is quite wonderful. Having witnessed the advantages of these holistic practices, I decided to formally train as a baby and toddler yoga and massage teacher. And that brings me here, to building my business, Bibble & Bubble which nurtures the connection between mums and their new babies. I now want to share the benefits of mindfulness and yoga with school-aged children, giving them the tools they need to improve their own school experience.
